So I was choosing ornaments from this Mexican folk art outdoor kiosk. I love Christmas ornaments. And among the Frida Kahlos and the Day of the Deads were little tin Jewish stars. I didn’t have a tree this year (I actually bought a small purple tree once) but every year I go back to this booth to see what they have. It doesn’t feel strange to me, although I know others may find it strange. To be a Jew and a witch and to love Christmas. Ever since I was a girl I loved Christmas and it wasn’t jealousy (oh I want that holiday to be mine!) but love.
