I started writing plays for Moon Pluto reasons. I wanted people to know, wanted an audience to know how it felt inside my head. Truth is that I didn’t set out to do this, but it was the result. And I noticed. The agony, the ecstasy, the obsession, desire, emotional intensity, gunk.
And I recommend this method: make art that reflects your insides so that you can deal with your insides, your demons and your angels. Call it therapy, call it art, call it a 5th House issue, creating something out of nothing. Doesn’t matter. Survival. Don’t we need this? More than diet books? More than celebrity weddings? More than ads for sexier underwear? More than despair? Don’t you need this?
I also started writing plays because a friend, who became my mentor, saw me struggling to get my book of poems published. He suggested I try writing a ten-minute play, a common form these days. I took his advice and I fell in love with the theatre, with the production process, with writing for actors, for the voice. Profound collaboration.
So I’m going to say it again: with the upcoming Eclipse in Cancer, your feelings are all the rage. Not just your home, not just your family, not just your kids, not just your husband, your mother, but you, your core, your moon, which rules Cancer. Feelings, memories, photographs, the past. Who you were.
And with the Sun in Cancer opposing Pluto in the sky now, your feelings are full of power and devotion. Yes, devotion. Pluto is nothing if not relentlessly devoted to your changing. Cornering you. Making you. Die. To yourself. So to speak. 🙂
Today’s wisdom: screw the grand cross and the heavy eclipse energy beating you down. New Moons, and this is a New Moon eclipse, are about beginnings, plantings, intentions, ideas, potential, starting. Work the cross like a big puzzle. Â A piece of Aries, a piece of Capricorn, a piece of Libra, a piece of Cancer and whatever your natals are, whatever the configuration. Throw the pieces up up up in the air and… how will you put it together? What do you want your life to look like?
And, dear Reader, fellow Star Gazer, the Sun is in Cancer, so feed yourself, and then, like a good Plutonian, disseminate!
Hey, baby it’s the 4th of July!

Good idea, of course. I just really feel the urge to make big changes and I can’t wait until she graduates…it has been brewing for some time now. The Chiron return brought me so much Moon-Pluto, all melded into one big organic powerful experiences, boom, boom, boom! I can not go into it here, but that was 5 years ago, lingered on it for 4. I thank you for your advice. By the way, I read your post about the Sag boyfriend! I could not agree more, having just revisited one from long ago…we met 25 years ago first time…what can I say..some things never change! A brief “bond” fire! And that isn’t James Bond but two fire signs, lol. Your posts are great, keep them coming, wishing you well with all your writings. 🙂
Thank you for your kind words 🙂 The Grand Cross has a way of making us feel desperate for change and yet… we feel we cannot move. Also the Pluto Uranus square makes us want to throw it all away and jump into the new but timing (saturn) is crucial. Jupiter thru your 4th is surely making you want to expand your home, family base….
Ms. Aliza, I am natally Moon opposes Pluto but of the Moon in Aquarius 18 degrees (first house, conjuncts Chiron 10 Aquarius) to Jupiter 21 Leo conjunct Pluto 26 in Leo in the 7th. I hear your pleas and have also been writing my angst for years! Working on my Memoirs! I salute you digging the Plutonian dirt and dishing it, too! I am also a Sun in Aries 16 degrees conjunct Mercury 16 degrees in the 3rd, Capricorn Rising at 17 degrees and Mars in Capricorn at 24, (first house too!) which opposes my Uranus in the 7th at 26 Cancer…this Grand Cardinal Cross hasn’t got me yet but I quiver at the thoughts….little ol Neptune is 28 in Libra in my 9th to complete the puzzle with Saturn sooner than later coming up to conjunct before anything else… I submit my chart for your wit and wisdom…what sayth you…any idea what might be coming down the Plutonian Pipes when Pluto also finally hits my Ascendant…ps. My Midheaven is 11 Scorpio…Jupiter is dancing in my 4th house now. My regards and respect! Shawn
Hello Shawn! Jupiter in 4th House jumps out at me first: planning a move?
Yes, I am planning (read that as wanting!) a move…but this is also tricky. I want to move to the sea, any area where I can see the beach…a clean one! But my 14 year old daughter is in school near where we are. She is having the whole Cardinal Grand cross affecting her chart and she is a Libra, 5 degrees! So, she doesnt want to move away from London…but I do. Decisions, decisions!
I just hope Jupiter will plow through all of this and make it viable for us, financially as well! Just dont know what will actually transpire, any ideas would be most welcome! 😉
First thing that came to mind: spend more time by the sea, as much as you can. It is having a healing quality for you, very much so. Fire and water are not really at odds. Any friends with a beach house? Any chance of weekends away? That would help with the longing and help your daughter too, if it’s in her to also love it. Check for good aspects to this transiting Jupiter. And condition of your own natal Jupiter for starters. And the eclipses of course 🙂
