Getting truly close to someone is a frightening prospect… for many.
As a Cancer Sun (and Mercury and Mars!) it works like this: after getting that truly close to someone — intimacy — I don’t want any separation. I’m in. EVEN IF everything isn’t all figured out yet. I’m in and I know.
The New Moon in Aries is activating my 8th House so that’s my story. What’s yours? And do you set New Moon intentions?
Be FEARLESS in your Aries house. This is huge for me. Not just fearless in my closest relationships but also in regards to money — money owed. It’s tax season, have to deal with the student loan people. I can’t be Cancer and hide in my shell. Must take care of business.

The New Moon is at 20 degrees Aries on April 10th so go around the chart, your chart, and look for this degree.
You can even go 4 or 5 degrees in either direction as an exercise. Just to see. You can begin with Aries. Got anything around 20 degrees Aries? There’s your conjunction to the New Moon.
Then jump over to Libra to check for an opposition, an argument, a confrontation a cooperation, a deal.
Then visit the signs that square, Cancer and Capricorn, for any stress, motivation. And then look for Sagittarius and Leo, for trines, the help. And then Aquarius and Gemini, for sextiles, more help but you have to turn it on.
Notice the houses affected. What do you see? Note the degrees of your angles as well.

I can’t believe it’s already April. Life is moving but what is happening. Sometimes the movement is imperceptible. Does that mean we need to pay better attention? The post-its above my desk remind me of what I need to do.

If Aries is a brave warrior then a New Moon in Aries is increased protection, defiance, courage, strength, ability, MARS, conquest. Soldier does not hide in her shell. New Moon in Aries = reinforcements, the cavalry coming but hold your fire. Make sure you are fighting for what **you** want.
Venus and Mars, desire and desire, (and the Sun of course) are conjunct the New Moon and it’s the last lunation before the coming eclipses. Water rushing in. Uranus is there too. Your job is to strike the match and not to destroy anything or anyone but to create the biggest brightest fire you can in that part of your chart. People need to find you. God needs to find you. Stop hiding. You make this fire not for death or destruction but to give light and warmth and fearlessness. No matter what is threatening to take over your peace and sanity and dignity (Pluto does square this New Moon), keep coming up for air until you are inches above it, feet above it, miles and miles above it.
I loved flying back from Las Vegas. What peace I felt on that plane, up in the clouds, everywhere and nowhere.

in this new moon i see pluto, saturn, jupiter, sun, venus, moon and neptune. 12, 10, 8, 6, 4 and 2.

I did just that today, on the train, set new moon intentions. Wrote them down.
I just inhaled and exhaled ::YES:: to this entire post. Especially Goldfrapp! I needed a song and I didn’t know what it was until you showed me 🙂 Yesterday I read somewhere that the new moon in Aries marks the end of the solar year. So we’re basically entering a new soul year… A year ago Apr 13th to be exact I felt like I died. An important relationship ended, and I felt the death. Cardinal Cross hitting my Venus, Merc and Neptune with transiting pluto, uranus, and a trine from chiron seriously transformed me. For now i’m slowly but surely finding my way out but I am so looking forward to this new moon!
An old episode of Oprah reminded me to pray always and remember that we are spiritual beings. No matter what happens to us or our surroundings, we are here breathing with a purpose. And even when we feel we have nothing we have that. The loss I felt was the loss of an identity and I’ve been through that before when Pluto was on my moon my 4th. So in a way I was prepared for this, but the funny thing is, that’s when I met the guy… Cycles happen for a reason. (Sorry, commenting has become a form of therapy for me.)
How does a 12th house Venus handle not being able to give/show her love? I don’t mean pining after a relationship, or mourning a death, but when you love someone so much that you just can’t know them anymore. Because they can’t feel your love and their pain is filling you (oh fluid boundaries). Because I know all I can do is accept that it is perhaps chiron transiting my 7th and the wound will never heal but I can’t make sense of it. Like there’s a void and chiron is speaking another language.
That reminds me, I didn’t pray today…
🙁 I think you said something like this once but sometimes when you can’t find the words or faith to pray, just sit in silence. Let the thoughts go just be silent and thankful for the stillness.
I found the answer to my venus question in neptune. I love Neptune because it makes me feel good. The problem is its also the planet of addiction and delusional idealism. I believed the guy was forever and I built my life around that. In reality he wasn’t even reliable for a week in the few years I’ve known him! I needed Saturn in Libra and finally I’m thankful because it showed me that I couldn’t see reality behind my wall of beliefs. (Moon squares my saturn today 🙂
Its hard to let go of someone I believed with all my spirit to be MY someone but he isn’t mine. I’m mine. Not even my future kids will be mine! They’ll be individuals with their own needs etc. So I can let go.
PS: Now I feel the need to hug schizophrenics. I’m sorry for anyone who has to renegotiate reality because its very isolating and scary. (Mercurial fears.)
It’s so fitting. Elaborating on it here would be too long, but I can assure–it fits to what is going on in my life. This New Moon will be conjunct Saturn and Venus in my 10th.
I’m natally a new moon in libra in the 4th. This aries new moon is in my tenth opposite my 19 degree moon/13 degree son in libra. I left my 15-year career two years ago when Uranus hit my 10th cusp. Now I’m in the middle of starting a personal training business. I’m trying to rally my mars in leo but I have that 24 degree cancer ascendant–stress or motivation? Ha! I appreciate your word–FEARLESS. This is going to be one bumpy ride, I guess.

This New Moon is in my 8th too, conjunct my South Node, trine my 4th house Saturn and opposite my 2nd house Venus/NN/Sun. The poem you shared is lovely – I like how it seems to speak to the 2nd/8th house axis – regenerating and balancing spirit through the body (embodying spirit?) Dancing naked is a good metaphor, and Aries likes to get physical.
Our landlord recently told us to go ahead and use the new (free) laundry facilities he installed in our building, which we’ll probably do right before the New Moon – using other people’s resources to regenerate (clean) seems to fit too. Since it’s opposite my Libra Venus, hope it doesn’t ruin my stuff!
