A transit I neglected to mention in this morning’s blog post:
Mercury in Capricorn sextile Chiron in Pisces.
It’s worth mentioning (even though this transit has passed) because Chiron needs all the help he can get 😉
And I’m not sure I can educate you anything special this morning on the nature of Chiron except that you should remember both sides.
An example: Chiron is edging closer to my 7th House cusp and some interpretations that I read will emphasize the hurt Chiron. Others will emphasize the healing Chiron. Will there be wisdom? Will there be partnership? That’s what I want to know. It probably will be both.
Where we have Chiron, natal and by transit, is where we feel most fragile, vulnerable, noli me tangere. So when a sextile comes along? There’s an opportunity.
On a related note: a gal on the message board is sick and tired of Pluto through her 4th House. I get that. I’m at the END (Baruch Hashem) of this transit. It can be total wipe-out of family, home, or a bring-you-to-your-knees nauseating psychological restructuring. Or both.
You don’t get to choose. That’s Pluto. But it depends, also, on your natal chart and what God (Spirit/Source/Life) has in store for you. Pluto promises change, yes, but there’s a range to the change!
So we remember both sides. Death and resurrection. We come back to life with new parts. How many times, so many times, with my natal 1st House Pluto had they counted me out. Had I counted me out. Aliza will never...
Like the Phoenix (Pluto/Scorpio symbolism), we rise. But that part is the choice. You have to agree to it. Heh. Punch down the dough, right? But it puffs back up 😉
Mercury sextile Chiron is an opportunity to think about your pain. Talk about your pain. Sometimes that’s enough.

I’ve got plans. Hello Sun in Capricorn! New class in February and maybe a new private message board. Click here for info and email me if interested.

Love your insight on astrology! Have you ever heard of Chiron in sextile with natal Uranus? I
Hi Shanori. Thank you! Yes I have heard of that — xoxo
Awesome. I accidentally sent while I was trying to finish the question. Do you know what that transit means? The Internet searches only give me vague answers And you seem like a poet who knows it
You know, my allergies were driving me nuts, that’s why I didn’t say more earlier lol but honestly a lot depends on the individual’s chart. Personally I ONLY want to see Chiron and/or Uranus in GOOD aspect!! Because Uranus is so disruptive and Chiron is so painful — in a sextile they can help each other. Chiron sextile Uranus could be you finding a good healer to work with – to climb out of pain. Whereas someone with a hard aspect between those two may have a harder time getting help or getting answers. TO me it shows stability but… in a Uranian way i.e. you can be creative/inventive/ingenious in how you heal yourself. Hmmm SELF-HEALING is the answer here. You don’t need anyone to help you. But you also may have a gift for finding the right ones to help you.
I will absolutely run with that! Thanks! This transit is set to take place mid winter, and I I am grateful that this will be a time for healing. I also wish for you healing as you have allergies! 🙁 xx
I have a mercury in taurus sextile my Chiron in cancer. However I can’t seem to be able to talk about pain. I can share the superficial slights, but the deep kind is just too much for me to share, as I don’t think anyone would really understand. Sometimes, it’s best to keep it to myself.
Adding, my natal Chiron is in my 6th – the house of daily routines, habits, service received and provided. It’s opposite natal Uranus in the 12th, the house of secret enemies as well as spiritual allies and healing.
Thank you Aliza! Without realizing it (or maybe you did), you used the word I requested yesterday as a sign I was on the right path – ‘Phoenix’. I ask for signs sometimes as a form of spiritual encouragement when I’m feeling down (South Node in the 8th).
Pluto’s transit through the 4th has been and continues to be TOUGH. Or maybe it’s that my progressed IC is at the 29th degree of Capricorn, where it will remain for a few more months. One of the worst things about Pluto’s transit through the 4th is that it often feels very isolating knowing no one knows what it is I’m experiencing (natal Pluto in the 12th). As I type this, our landlord’s representatives are slamming doors and stomping around above my head, a tactic designed to make life as unpleasant for us as possible without us being able to prove it. I have to be here at home today and they know it.
The Mercury/Chiron sextile is forming harmonious aspects with my natal Mercury. Talking/sharing helps. Thanks again.
You’re so welcome, LB. Remember you aren’t ever alone.
Great post Aliza. And I agree with having to always keep both sides of Chiron in mind ‘hurt and healing’, the healing comes through facing the pain, sitting with it and understanding it on a deeper level…leading to wisdom and growth. This is something I realised recently through a Sun/Chiron conjunction in synastry..that both people experience the hurt/healing. I naively thought that the Sun person ‘shines a light’ on the other person’s wound, that they merely hold a torch and the other person says ‘ouch’..BUT..I understand now that in the conjunction at least, it goes both ways. Both feel their own hurt/healing through the interaction and that is the attraction of the aspect, the opportunity to heal being an extremely powerful magnet. It has helped me understand both the power of Chiron in the chart and also the true nature of a conjunction in astrology.
Thanks sophiepiscesmoon. Did the Pluto 4th lady sound familiar? 😉
